Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-03-25T15:23Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2025-03-25T15:23:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
GAP: Data gap
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: CME seen to the SE in STEREO A COR2 and SOHO LASCO C3. Source is field line opening seen just beyond the SE limb at a latitude of about S16 and an approximated longitude of about E90 to E110 in SDO AIA 193 beginning at 2025-03-25T14:49Z. Analysis of this CME was affected by a data gap in SOHO LASCO C2 and C3 imagery lasting from 2025-03-25T13:42Z to 2025-03-25T17:30Z, reduced image quality of SOHO LASCO C3 frames for timestamps following 2025-03-25T17:30Z, and by the regular overnight data gap in STEREO A COR2 imagery which began at 2025-03-25T15:53Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true SWPC_CAT -102.0 -24.0 1374.0 O 24.0 2025-03-25T17:26Z Measurement made using the source location seen in UV imagery of the Earth-facing disk, three frames of STEREO A COR2 running difference imagery with timestamps 2025-03-25T15:23Z, 2025-03-25T15:38Z, and 2025-03-25T15:53Z, as well as one frame of SOHO LASCO C3 running difference imagery at timestamp 2025-03-25T17:54Z. The leading edge is extremely diffuse in SOHO LASCO C3, which introduces some uncertainty. The leading edge of the CME is more clearly defined in the three frames of STEREO A COR2 than in SOHO LASCO C3. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
